TEAM Physics A

Welcome to Physics A. This semester of Physics covers Linear Motion, Newton's Laws, Work, Energy and Momentum. Over to the right side, there is a link to the syllabus for the course (in case you lose your paper copy).

HANG TIME

FREE FALL

Are these bogus or not?

You have learned how to use the vertical distance something has fallen in order to find the time it took to fall.  Use your stopwatch to find the time of the fall and calculate how far these folks fell. Your answer will be off a little bit because of air resistance, but you will be close enough to tell whether their claims are true or bogus.  (Be sure and convert any customary units to SI units before calculating)
